"Some days when I am able to pick a pen and write, I know I have been blessed."~Savita

Welcome to my blog. In my quiet hours I seek to touch the depth of myself and my surroundings. My thoughts that take form of poetry are just the scratches on the surface of life as it reveals to me. Wrapped in a delicate veil of symbolism and ambiguity these verses and expressions also fulfill my desire to share a bit of my self with others. I hope reading them would be as enjoyable for you as writing them has been for me.

Memories Are Comforting

Memories of past year-

Still fresh in my heart.

Hours of sweetness, sounds of tingling laughter

Moments of anguish and touch of warm tears.

all is intact under the wrinkled sheets of time.

I greet the New year, yet

Bidding goodbye to old is hard.

The year 2023 will never be forgotten!

It’s life changing occurrence,

Lasting impressions,

Countless vague and foggy moments,

Restless and soothing flashbacks!

All is over whelming!

Yet holding on to all of it is comforting.

Each day though trying to live a normal routine

I want to keep the memories of past year alive.

An old note, a conversation, a smell, a taste,

A reminding note of a bill to be paid,

Cancelling a doctor’s appointment( no longer needed)!

All of it fills my day.

To know and feel time’s unbroken flow

A closeness to past is needed to grow.

When by the river we never touch the same water again,

But just to go by the river

And touch the new flow in old surroundings is comforting.

Even when greeting the New year

It is assuring to be surrounded with old memories.
