"Some days when I am able to pick a pen and write, I know I have been blessed."~Savita

Welcome to my blog. In my quiet hours I seek to touch the depth of myself and my surroundings. My thoughts that take form of poetry are just the scratches on the surface of life as it reveals to me. Wrapped in a delicate veil of symbolism and ambiguity these verses and expressions also fulfill my desire to share a bit of my self with others. I hope reading them would be as enjoyable for you as writing them has been for me.

Haiku 39

Chilled Winter morning
Pale quarter moon wanes above
Mars and Jupiter.

Note: Written after moon watch of 1.12. 2018 at 5.30 am. Not only Mars and Jupiter were shining close together  but two of the bright Galilean moon were also visible to my naked eyes. The site of morning sky was beautiful on that chilled winter morning.

Barbatos

I don’t know
Who the devil is
Or where he lives

What excites him
Or what makes his face glow

What is the color of his skin
To us humans is he a kin

What language does he speak
To impress his thoughts so bleak

Awry we go in our communication
Causing widespread humiliation

I don’t know
Who the Barbatos is
Or where he lives.

But echoes of altercation
Such as his are heard
In a shiny White House
On top of a hill.

Live in a world of strife and still think of it as one family!

How can we adopt to this mysterious principle
Of oneness of universe!
So widely spoken by all leaders in religion
As well as in politics and economics.
Spoken on all social levels
But never believed to be followed.
Really what were our ancients thinking!
Live in a world of strife and still think of it as one family!
So I ponder on it and this is what I stumble upon!

We all expect fights to happen in family
And we expect all to make it up
Simply because it is a family.
Like a river, identity of family is of a continuous change
And so are worldly relationships.
So when you think of world wars
And peace treaties among our leaders
Think of a fight broken among family members
Of greater hierarchy!
Few crack members of family insinuate fight
And the world goes topsy-turvy!
Sooner or later they come to their senses
And talk about peace and
Will go on living as leaders of world peace!
But not before millions are made
Homeless, orphaned or
Or buried in nameless graves!

नये साल की नयी समझ।

सारा जगत अपना है !
ये कहावत आज कुछ कुछ समझ में आरही है।

जब परायों के साथ बर्तन खड़कने लगें

तो समझिये कि पराये भी अपने हो गये!

Family, Health, Accomplishment.

Closeness- only through experience
Emotion- very much needed for expression
Interaction- apply common sense
Grudge- forgiveness must be in possession

Exercise- include a nice stroll
Diet- balance with some wine
Bettering the odds, form of control
Destined, its ordained by the divine

Dedication, needs much grit
Judicious- make the smart moves
If it was easy, everyone would do it
Work with people- definitely behooves

Pool is plenty, pick a life attribute
Spin up a poem, only takes some time
Gather the thoughts, think of an offshoot
Scribe the stanza, and make a rhyme.
