Maruts

Volatile Emotions
Force magnificence
Accept my prayers
Terror stricken I am
Truly your patron are Maruts divine
Of ancient Vedic lore
Fierce mental energies
I seek your grace
Shelter me from impetuous bolt
Thunderous roar of yours
Rips through my heart
Your fiery flashes
Burn through my flash
Let this turmoil subside
Purge my mind of darkness 
Expunge the agitations
Return to calm
Torch me with your light 
Of peace and love.

Note: The best prayer is the one that calms a mind.
