"Some days when I am able to pick a pen and write, I know I have been blessed."~Savita

Welcome to my blog. In my quiet hours I seek to touch the depth of myself and my surroundings. My thoughts that take form of poetry are just the scratches on the surface of life as it reveals to me. Wrapped in a delicate veil of symbolism and ambiguity these verses and expressions also fulfill my desire to share a bit of my self with others. I hope reading them would be as enjoyable for you as writing them has been for me.

Lessons of Life

Fate brought me to foreign land to teach what love of Motherland meant.
Death of my ailing mother taught me what it means to loose some one.
Grieving alone taught me how to stand-alone on rough terrains of life.
Birth of a child taught me how precious life is.
Laughing through my tears taught me that pain and pleasure are weaving threads of life.
Loosing my heart to you taught me what is to be gained in love.
Watching you walk past me with out looking taught me what heartache is.
Silence taught me the magic of unspoken words.
Being with my thoughts taught me I was never alone.
Picking a pen taught me the joy of writing.
Loosing that pen taught me the despair of a helpless person.
At every phase of life I lost something to know what it is to have something.
